Directly connected to the Chairman of the Council .

Main Objective

Provide computer services needed by the council and its agencies. 

Duties

1. Makes plans and programs to enhance the performance of the department and carry them out after being approved .

2. Specify the specifications and the quality of technical equipments to ensure the newest and modern features that could enhance the work of the Council. 

3. Operates the computers and the computer services.

4. Designs applicable programs, operational systems and the database of the computer system .

5. Provides computer services and internet to all departments of the Shura Council, its members and  employees .

6. Designs and examine applicable programs and system needed by the Council while developing and maintaining them.

7. Follows up the latest development in the field of computer and its application and informs the officials for further use.

8. Responsible for the safety of equipments, network and information where the Council still has not concluded its deliberations .

9. Provides maintenance for computer network, and computer monitors and provides the necessary technical assistance needed by the Council.

10. Provides internet services and technical support designs the council's website, improve it, and update the information, and provides e-mail services to the Council .

11. Cooperates with the Development and Planning Department to promote the skills of the employees.

12. Submits a periodical report on the Department's activities and the recommendation of improving it and any other activities within its capacity.
