Main ObjectiveProvides the exigencies of the Shura Council.
Duties
- Acts as executive power respecting purchasing items, equipment and apparatus for the Shura Council pursuant to rules, regulations and instructions of the Shura Council.
- Performs executive tasks regarding services and purchases competition pursuant to rules, regulations and instructions of the Shura Council.
- Advertises invitations for competition and arranges meetings for the committee that specialized in these affairs.
- Makes a detailed analysis of the competition to ensure equal rights and fair competition for all competitors.
- Participates with the concerned committee in the editing of contracts before having them signed by the authorized officials, then informs the related departments.
- Smoothes the procedure of implementing contracts after officially signing them.
- Prepares orders for contractors to import and supply the Council and sometimes makes purchases directly and informs the related departments.
- Keeps necessary files and data on suppliers and contractors as a reference to facilitate the work or activity of the concerned officials.
- Should keep full knowledge of the prices and the stock market's movement, and keeps track of the market, precise information, and preserves files of each to help make a precise judgment respecting precises given by the dealers.
- Puts to files and preserves records concerning procedures of legal purchases, such as contracrs’ record and warranty letter and so on.
- Follows-up the validity of warranty letters and others concerning purchasing and supplying.
- Fully participates in laying out an affective and swift policy on disposable surplus's termination and returning items in the stockrooms.
- Prepares a periodical report on the department's achievement and submits it to the officials.
