The Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh received at his office at the headquarters of the Council here today, a number of members of Pakistan's National Assembly and Senate, headed by Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed within the delegation's current visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

At the outset of the meeting, Sheikh Dr. Al-Sheikh welcomed the Pakistani parliament's delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay in the Kingdom and stressing to them the strength of the bilateral and historic relations binding the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in various fields.

For his part, Senator Mushahid Syed expressed his happiness and members of the delegation for visiting the Kingdom, also expressing his thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for the Kingdom' support given to Pakistan in various fields and its keenness on Pakistan' security and stability as well as its leading role in serving the causes of the Islamic nation.

He praised the bilateral relations between the two countries and their brotherly peoples , especially parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Parliament of Pakistan.

Also, during the meeting, members of the Pakistani parliament's visiting delegation commended the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to serve Islam and Muslims and his commitment to unite the Muslims of various stripes.
