Majlis Ash-Shura, 1368 A.H

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful,

From Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al-Faisal,

To his Honor, son Abdullah Al-Faisal,

Peace and blessing of Allah be upon you;

We read the annual report of Majlis Ash-Shura and its actions for the year 1364 A.H., submitted with the number 825 on 27/12/1367 A.H. We would like that you convey our acknowledgement and confidence to the Majlis and its members. This confidence makes us issue this command of renewing their task for another year starting next Moharram 1368 A.H.

We ask Allah to guide us towards success and well-being.

Then, his Royal Highness Prince Mansour delivered the following inauguration speech:

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful,

In this blessed moment, it gives me great pleasure to follow my glorified king's order and inaugurate the new term of the respected Majlis Ash-Shura. What pleases me more is the trust, passion and, satisfaction you gained from my king towards the previous sessions. You are well deserving of that trust.

Honored members,

You are all well aware of the horrible crises that the world today suffers from. And you know that each country strongly desires to consolidate and strengthen its entity and structure on sound basis in all aspects of life and to maintain its dignity among other nations.

You have been entrusted with heavy duties and responsibilities and you have been given powers to be used wisely for the good of the people and the nation and to enhance the country's position in the field of education, economy, and society and to achieve the goals that we seek according to our king's directions. I congratulate you for the valuable royal trust and acknowledgement believing that the Majlis will move forward to fulfill its duties vigorously and sincerely depending on Allah first and foremost, then on the government of his Majesty the king.

Now I declare, by the name of Allah first then by the name and order of his Majesty the king, the inauguration of the new term of the Majlis Ash-Shura for the year 1368 A.H. I ask Allah to bestow His assistance and success upon us all. You are well trusted and appreciated and it is doubtless that you will perform perfectly.

Then On behalf of Majlis Ash-Shura, member of the Majlis, Mr. Tahir Ad-Dabbagh, delivered the following speech:

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful,

Your Royal Highness,

The Majlis highly values and appreciate this trust given by the king to his sincere and loving nation represented by the Majlis that is honorably chaired by Prince Faisal. The Majlis relies on Allah then on the support of his Majesty the king and his Crown Prince. The Majlis meets this valuable trust with many thanks and loyalty to the king and the ruling family and aspires to have the determination to overcome any hurdles and obstacles in order to secure a luxurious place among nations.

Your Royal Highness,

The loyalty of the Majlis to the king is a continuous effort to reach a wise and a mature ideology and to achieve our noble objectives. The goals that the king seeks to reach will enhance the status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the holy shrines economically, structurally, and culturally.

The Majlis is expressing its gratitude and appreciation for the attention and the support it receives from the king. This support will serve as a motivation for the Majlis to be more vigorous. The Majlis is honored to thank Your Highness for inaugurating this term on behalf of the king. The Majlis is impressed by your achievements and continuous efforts all the time. Before I conclude this speech, I would like to express my great thanks to the Crown Prince for his support of the Majlis and for the instructions by his honored deputy and by his honored assistant that Allah may grant him health. I also would like to thank Your Royal Highness for your efforts towards the country and the Arab identity. I pray to Allah to grant us success in carrying out our duties in accordance with the king's trust and I ask Allah to preserve the king and the royal family and to give victory to Islam and its army.
