In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

From Abdul Aziz Ben Abdul Rahman Al-Faysal

To Mr. Faisal, the Chairman of the Shura Council, may Allah protect him.

Peace and blessings of Allah be upon you,

We reviewed the annual report of the Shura Council on its affairs of the year 1358 A.H. NO 241, dated 27/12/1358 A.H.

Displaying our pleasure and acknowledgement, we order that their task is extended for a further year, commencing next Moharram 1359 A.H. we ask Allah for their success and prosperity.

On behalf of the Council, Shaikh Ahmad Ibrahim AlGazawy, member of the Shura Council delivered the following word:

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Your Majesty:

Taking such a pleasant opportunity and blessed occasion, we express our ultimate thanks and loyalty to your superior care, valuable trust and noble kindliness that you bestowed upon us as deputy of his majesty the king.

Extending the term of the Council is a strong testimonial of the high royal satisfaction, and that the Council is very keen to execute its duty as much as possible.

In this celebration, it is our duty to announce for the world to see the comprehensive security and fair ruling that Allah led the majesty of our king, may Allah support him, despite the attributes of current hard circumstances in all parts of the world.

It is our duty to convey his Highness the people’s deepest feelings of loyalty and the prayers of victory and safekeeping. We can only submit your Excellency the most faithful thanks for your care and support that you have been providing our Council with in all cases and occasions. We assure your Eminence that we don’t save an effort to serve the general welfare, appreciate our responsibilities, and fulfill our pledges in accordance with what satisfies Allah the Supreme, and the Majesty of the king and your Excellency.

We ask Allah that He protects his Majesty the King and realizes his wishes to what would achieve the goodness of Arabs and Moslems, and that He provides him with His victory, Allah is the All-Hearing.

His Majesty Prince Faisal Ben Abdul Aziz, then, inaugurated the first term on behalf of his Majesty, saying:

In the Name of Allah, most Gracious, Most Merciful

No doubt that the confidence of his Majesty the king is valuable and we should meet his expectation. The responsibility we bear towards Allah, our King, our people, and our country is very great.

Man could not be perfect all the time. However good intention is what we require, Allah the Greatest is the Leader to the right path.

The country and the nation certainly need the services of everybody, and need us to be faithful in our intentions and deeds, and that our ultimate goal is the public interest, which, thanks be to Allah, is available. If we encounter any shortcoming currently, wishes would be achieved, God willing, in the future.

We ask Allah that He leads us to what satisfies Him, and that He is kind enough to guide us to implement the grace he bestowed upon us, the grace of Islam, then to achieve our vows towards the country and the nation.

Now, in the Name of Allah, and on behalf of the glorified Majesty of the king, may Allah support him, I inaugurate the first session of your respectable Council in its new term.
