His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al Sheikh, on the sidelines of the International Parliamentary Conference to celebrate the golden jubilee of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, met with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Raja Pervez Ashraf.*During the meeting, the President of the National Assembly affirmed that Pakistan enjoys historical relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially that the Kingdom has always and always stood by Pakistan in all circumstances.*During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways of developing them, especially the parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Pakistani National Assembly, stressing the importance of activating permanent meetings and visits between them, and raising the level of coordination in all regional and international parliamentary forums.
