18/07/2017

The Shura Council today denounced the flagrant practice committed by the Israeli occupation authorities who dared to close Al-Aqsa mosque, Muslims first Qibla and third holiest mosque, in the face of worshippers, describing the move as unprecedented provoking act to the feelings of Muslims all over the world.

In a statement following its ordinary 47th session under the chairmanship of its Vice Speaker Dr. Mohammed Ameen Al-Jeffrey, the Shura Council urged Arab and Islamic governments and parliaments together with the world community and peace-loving countries to exert concerted work to end such steps being taken by Israel against the holy site where Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) was transported by God Almighty from Al-Madinah city in the Arabian peninsula to Al-Aqsa mosque in Palestine and back home overnight.

The statement praised the courage of the Palestinian people who stood solid in the face of Israeli intransigence and aggression.
