This committee is specialized in studying issues related to Islamic and judicial affairs. Specifically, this committee is in charge of the following:

A. Studying referred issues related to the following sectors:
  1. The Supreme Council for Dawa.
  2. The Supreme Council for Religious Endowments.
  3. Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Dawa, and Guidance.
  4. The Senior Ulema Commission.
  5. The General Presidency of Legal Opinions and Scholarly Research.
  6. The Commission of Preventing Vice and Promoting Virtue.
  7. The General Presidency of the two Holy Mosques and the Chamber of Grievances.
  8. The General Presidency of the two Holy Mosques and the Chamber of Grievances.
  9. The Supreme Judicial Council.
  10. Ministry of Justice.
  11. Board of Grievances.
  12. The Commission of Investigation and General Prosecution.

 

B. Study issues, laws, and bylaws relevant to aspects of Islamic and judicial affairs including:
  1. Islamic Dawa (call) .
  2. Pilgrimage and Omrah (the religious aspects of) visitation to Mecca.
  3. Regulations directly related to Islamic and judicial aspect such as; Zakat (religiously prescribed alms), pleading procedures, etc.
  4. Regulations directly related to Islamic aspects.
  5. Investigation and General Prosecution.
  6. International, bilateral, or regional agreements relevant to Islamic, religious or judicial aspects.
  7. Any other issue that the Council or the Speaker of the Council deems necessary to be submitted to the concerned committee.

Committee on Social, Family, and Youth Affairs
This committee is specialized in studying issues related to social affairs, family and youth. Specifically, this committee is in charge of the following:

A. Studying referred issues related to the following sectors:
  1. Ministry of Social Affairs.
  2. General Presidency of Youth Welfare
B. Studying issues, laws, and bylaws relevant to aspects of social, family, and youth affairs including:
  1. Social Affairs and Social Security.
  2. Charitable organizations, the disabled Affairs, and Rehabilitation Centers.
  3. Family, women, and child affairs.
  4. Poverty alleviation.
  5. Sports, youth, and sports clubs affairs.
  6. Sports Federations
  7. Cooperative societies.
  8. Private social development committees.
  9. Senior citizens.
  10. International, bilateral, or regional agreements related to social, family, clubs, or youth affairs.
  11. Any other issue that the Council or the Speaker of the Council deems necessary to be submitted to the concerned committee.

This committee is specialized in studying issues related to economic and energy affairs. Specifically, this committee is in charge of the following:

A. Studying referred issues related to the following sectors:
  1. Ministry of Petrol and Mineral Resources.
  2. Ministry of Economy and Planning.
  3. Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
  4. General Investment Authority.
  5. Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO).
  6. Central Department of Statistics and Information.
  7. King Abdullah City for Atomic and Renewable Energy (K.A.CARE).
B. Studying issues, laws, and bylaws relevant to economic, energy, and mineral resources aspects, including:
  1. National and international petroleum policies.
  2. Gas and transformational industries.
  3. Mining and mining industries.
  4. Commerce and corporations.
  5. Industry
  6. National and international economic statuses.
  7. Matters related to energy cities.
  8. Development Plans (which include general goals, strategies, drafts, and following up reports of implementation).
  9. International, regional and bilateral agreements which are related to energy and economy.
  10. Any other issues the Council or the Speaker deems necessary to be submitted to the committee.

This committee is specialized in studying issues related to military and security affairs. Specifically, this committee is in charge of the following:

A. Studying referred issues related to the following sectors:
  1. Ministry of Defense
  2. Ministry of Interior.
  3. Ministry of National Guard.
  4. The General Intelligence Presidency.
  5. Military Service Council.
  6. Presidency of the Royal Guard.
  7. The General Organization for Military Industries.
  8. Emirates of Provinces.
B. Studying issues, laws, and bylaws relevant to military, security, and general safety affairs, including:
  1. National security.
  2. Defense policies and strategic security.
  3. Civil Defense.
  4. Military service.
  5. Passports and Civil Status.
  6. International, regional and bilateral agreements related to security and military aspects.
  7. Any other issues the Council or the Speaker deems necessary to be submitted to the committee.

This committee is specialized in the study of issues related to administrative and human resources affairs. Specifically, this committee is in charge of the following:

  4. Human Resources Development Fund.
B. Studying issues, laws, and bylaws relevant to administrative, human resources development, and petitions affairs, including:

  4. International, regional, or bilateral agreements related to civil service, labor, human resources development, pension, and social insurance.
  5. Any other issues that the Council or the Speaker of Council refers to the committee.

  3. Universities and higher education.

  5. Studies and scientific research.

  9. King Abdul-Aziz Public Library.
  10. King Abdul-Aziz Center for National Dialogue.
B. Studying issues, laws, and bylaws relevant aspects of cultural and informational affairs including:
  1. Media affairs as well as internal and external media activities.
  2. Tourism and antiquities affairs.
  3. Local press.
  4. Public libraries.
  5. Internal and external cultural activities
  6. Satellite channels owned by the public sector.
  7. Intellectual cultural dialogues.
  8. Libraries and publishing houses and information repository shops.
  9. Intellectual property rights.
  10. Literary and cultural associations and clubs.
  11. International, regional, or bilateral agreements related to cultural or media matters.
  12. Any other issues that the Council or the Speaker of Council deems to be referred to it.

This committee is specialized in studying issues related to foreign affairs and regional and international organizations. Specifically, this committee is in charge of the following:

A. Studying referred issues related to the following sectors:
  1. Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  2. Embassies and diplomatic missions.
  3. Islamic, Arabic, and international organizations.
  4. Institute of Diplomatic Studies.
  5. Parliamentary unions.
B. Studying issues, laws, bylaws, conventions, and treaties relevant aspects of international and political affairs including:
  1. Foreign policy and diplomatic representation.
  2. Relations with countries as well as international and regional organizations.
  3. General and framework Bilateral, regional, and international agreements and treaties.
  4. Any other topics the Council or the Speaker of the Council refers to the committee.

This committee is specialized in studying issues related to Hajj, housing and public services. Specifically, this committee is in charge of the following:

  2. The Ministry of Housing.
  3. The Ministry of Hajj.
  4. The General Commission for Survey.
  5. The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu.
  6. The High Authority for Cities and Industrial Area Development
  7. The Saudi Industrial Property Authority.
  8. The Economic Cities Authority.
  9. The Real Estate Development Fund.
B. Study issues, laws, and bylaws relevant to aspects of Human Rights and Petitions affairs including:
  1. Hajj Affairs.
  2. Development of the holy shrines areas.
  3. Housing affairs.
  4. Secretariats, municipalities and village clusters services.
  5. Survey Affairs.
  6. international conventions, regional or bilateral relationship with Hajj affairs and housing and public services.
  7. Any other issues that the Council or the Speaker of Council refers to the committee.

  4. General Organization for King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center.
  5. Saudi Food and Drug Authority.
  6. King Khalid Eye Specialist Hospital.
  7. Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
B. Studying issues, laws, and bylaws relevant to health and environmental aspects including:
  1. Public health.
  2. Hospitals, health-care centers, and private health institutions.
