Speaker of the Shura Council Receives Members of the Turkish-Saudi Friendship Group in the Turkish Parliament

His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh, received at the Council’s seat in Riyadh today, the Turkish-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Turkish Parliament, headed by the Committee Chairman and Member of Parliament Noureddine Nebati.* At the beginning of the reception, His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council welcomed the Turkish-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Group, reviewing the Shura Council law and the legislative and oversight roles it plays, in addition to the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening bilateral cooperation ties, drawing attention to the developmental movement and achievements witnessed by the Kingdom in all fields under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may Allah protect them.* During the reception, the importance of continuous communication between the Shura Council and the Turkish Parliament was noted, and the role of the parliamentary friendship committees was activated. The two sides also discussed strengthening relations between the two countries in various fields, especially with regard to parliamentary relations, in addition to discussing many topics of common interest. The reception was attended by His Excellency the Vice Speaker of the Shura Council, Dr. Mishaal Al-Sulami, Her Excellency the Assistant Speaker of the Shura Council, Dr. Hanan Al-Ahmadi, His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Council, Mr. Muhammad Al-Mutairi, and a member of the Shura Council and Chairman of the Saudi-Turkish Parliamentary Friendship Committee in the Council, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Qannas. From the Turkish side, the Vice-Chairman of the Turkish-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Group in the Turkish Parliament, Yasar Yildirim, and the members of the committee, members of the Turkish Parliament, Hulusi Akar, Muhammad Karaman, Ahmed Mujahid Arinc, and Harun Ozgur, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Kingdom, Emrullah Asler.* During the reception, the importance of continuous communication between the Shura Council and the Turkish Parliament was highlighted, as well as the activation of the roles of the parliamentary friendship committees. The discussion also covered enhancing relations between the two countries in various fields, particularly concerning parliamentary relations, in addition to addressing many topics of mutual interest.
