His Excellency the Vice Speaker of the Shura Council, Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Sulami, met - at the Council’s seat - with the EU Ambassador to the Kingdom, Christophe Varno.* Ambassador Farno affirmed the significant and influential position enjoyed by the Kingdom, praising the positive and constructive role it plays, especially in light of the rapid political and security developments witnessed by the region, in addition to being a pivotal center for holding many important international conferences and forums.* The relations between the Kingdom and the European Union were reviewed meeting the, and ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the European Parliament were discussed, in a way that enhances bilateral relations between the two sides. A number of topics of common interest were also discussed.
