His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh, extended his congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may Allah protect them - on the occasion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia winning the bid to host the 2034 World Cup.* The Speaker of the Shura Council stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s winning of the bid to host the 2034 World Cup is an embodiment of the leadership’s interest - may Allah support it - in the sports sector, which has resulted in hosting major sporting events. His Excellency noted the development and movement which the Kingdom is witnessing in the sport field through its hosting of various international competitions.* His Excellency explained that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s winning of the bid to host the 2034 World Cup reflects the great cooperation and fruitful synergy between the various sectors of the state and the private sector, and the great energies and capabilities possessed by all members of society, pointing out that the well-deserved winning of the hosting is an affirmation of the great efforts made to prepare the hosting file to meet its requirements. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people are always happy to welcome guests and the football community, derived from its deep-rooted, authentic culture and its efforts to build bridges of constructive communication with various countries of the world.* His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council pointed out the Kingdom's keenness and relentless efforts to achieve its Vision 2030 with determination, aiming to build a prosperous and sustainable future, noting that the Kingdom is now clearly reaping its fruits through qualitative projects and accelerating achievements, reflecting comprehensive development in various sectors. His Excellency stressed that what we are witnessing today of a well-deserved victory is one of many achievements of this ambitious vision, in pursuit of an extended journey towards achieving the goals of the vision with the support of a wise leadership. This strategic vision that seeks to elevate the lifestyle of the individual and the family and build a balanced society through engaging in cultural activities and sporting events; which enhances the Kingdom's position and leadership regionally and internationally.* Al-Sheikh concluded his statement by praying to Allah Almighty to protect the leaders of this blessed country and to perpetuate its security and safety, and to continue the development and flourishing of this noble country.
