Gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may Allah protect him- for opening the work of the third year of the eighth session of the Shura Council.

Shura council expressed thanks. Gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may Allah protect him- for opening the work of the third year of the eighth session of the Shura Council yesterday.*This came in a statement at the beginning of its fourth regular session of the work of the third year of the eighth session, which was held under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Speaker of Shura Council Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al Shiekh.*The Council noted the additional contents of the speech of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may Allah support him- in which he affirmed that the Kingdom's constitution is the Book of Allah the Almighty and the Sunnah of his prophet –peace be upon him- which strengthens the principle of Shura Council as an Islamic approach to be adopted in word, deed, and action in its politics, programs, and decisions and will continue to adhere to this principle.* The Council highly valued the continuous care that our blessed country has always shown since its establishment of the service of the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.* The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques emphasized the great effort made to continue providing all means of comfort and facilitation for the visitors of the Two Holy Mosques in accordance with the highest international standards.*The Shura Council affirmed what was stated in the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques speech at the opening of the work of the third year of the eighth session of the council in which he –may Allah protect him- reviewed country's policies, emphasizing the developmental approach in the kingdom and targeting a comprehensive and sustainable renaissance focused on human.*The Council expressed its high appreciation for the interest the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in his annual speech to the citizen. The speech also included a statement of the leader's keenness to support plans that ensure the continuation of housing ownership for citizens ,their access to great healthcare, and the increase of citizens' participation in the labor market.*The Council praised the kingdom's status and pivotal role on the political and economic levels as well as its strategic location, which makes it the center of the world, to keep pace with the world's developments, face the challenges, invest in all opportunities and fields, and take steady steps towards facing all environmental challenges, foremost of which is climate change.*In the statement, the Council praised the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques emphasis on the kingdom's position to support all international efforts to end wars and conflicts, in order to establish security, achieve development and prosperity for all nations, and live in a more peaceful and fairer world where there is a promising future for people and future generations. The speech also included the kingdom's positions on current international issues that affirm the kingdom's political weight on the regional and international level.*In the statement, the council affirmed that the royal speech with which opened the third year of the eighth session of the Shura Council, will be a beacon that enlightens the Council and a road map to follow in discussing matters and issues under the dome of the Council as an important partner that contributes in building a country and participating in making national decisions that meet the leadership aspirations and expectation of the people of this beloved country.*The Shura Council highly valued the support and interest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman and His Royal Higness, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz – may Allah protect them- in the Council path in every year of its sessions as well as their constant care of the Council. In addition to the leadership interest in supporting the Council legislative and oversight work as well as its work in the parliamentary diplomacy, to work side by side with the Kingdom's leadership in achieving aspirations and hopes.
