The Shura Council extended its highest congratulations and blessings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may Allah protect them - and to the entire Saudi people on the occasion of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia winning the bid to host the 2034 World Cup.*This came in a statement by the Shura Council during its Thirteenth Regular Session of the First Year of the Ninth Term, which was held today, headed by His Excellency the Vice-Speaker of the Council, Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Sulami.*The Shura Council highly valued what His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may Allah protect him - emphasized regarding "the Kingdom's great determination to contribute effectively to developing the game of football around the world, and spreading the messages of love, peace and tolerance, armed with its great capabilities and potential, in addition to the energies of the people of the Kingdom and their high spirits to overcome difficulties, which one of its fruits was winning the file to host the 2034 World Cup officially".*The Council stressed in its statement that the unlimited interest and support of the wise leadership - may Allah support it - in the sports sector contributed to the file for hosting the 2034 World Cup receiving an unprecedented evaluation and high confidence from the international sport community, which confirms the Kingdom's leadership at the international level in this field and in various fields.*The Shura Council praised the efforts of all entities that worked diligently and devotedly to complete the hosting bid file to make this event a bright face for Saudi sports and enhance its position and leadership on the international scene in various fields, due to its great capabilities and the extensive developments and improvement of infrastructure in public facilities and sports facilities, which enhances aspects of quality of life and supports the sports and tourism sector in the Kingdom and enhances the national economy in a sustainable manner, so that the Kingdom becomes a global sports and tourism destination.*At the end of its statement, the Shura Council asked Allah Almighty to perpetuate the Kingdom’s glory, security and stability under its wise leadership, for He is All-Hearing, All-Answering.*After that, the Council proceeded to review the agenda of its Thirteenth Regular Session, and the items contained therein, taking the necessary resolutions regarding them.*Among the topics of draft agreements and memoranda of understanding included on the agenda of this session, the Shura Council approved the draft general cooperation agreement between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Republic of Moldova, after listening to a report submitted by the Foreign Affairs Committee.*The Council also approved the draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation between the Public Prosecution in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Public Prosecutor's Office in the Republic of Azerbaijan, after listening to a report submitted by the Islamic and Judicial Affairs Committee.*The Council approved the draft memorandum of understanding between the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the National Authority for Technical and Vocational Training in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in the field of technical and vocational training, after listening to a report submitted by the Education and Scientific Research Committee.
