His Excellency the Vice Speaker of the Shura Council, Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al-Sulami, met today at the Shura Council seat with His Excellency the President of the National Transitional Council (Parliament) of the Republic of Guinea, Dr. Dansa Koroma, in the presence of Her Excellency the Assistant Speaker of the Council, Dr. Hanan Al-Ahmadi, and His Excellency and His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Council, Mr. Mohammed Al-Mutairi, as part of His Excellency’s visit to the Kingdom.*During the meeting, Dr. Al-Sulami reviewed the supervisory and legislative role of the Shura Council and the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening cooperation and supporting bilateral relations*.For his part, the President of the Guinean National Transitional Council expressed his sincere thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may Allah protect them - for their great efforts to serve Islam and Muslims, stressing that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a model to be emulated in all fields.*During the meeting, ways to enhance parliamentary work between the Shura Council and the Guinean National Transitional Council were discussed; in a way that contributes to strengthening bilateral relations between the two sides, and a number of topics of common interest were discussed.*The meeting was attended by members of the Shura Council, Chairman and members of the Saudi-Guinean Parliamentary Friendship Committee, including Mr Mohammed Al-Humaidhi, Chairman of the Committee, and members of the Committee Dr Turki Al-Awad, His Excellency Mr Thamer Naseef, Dr Khaled Zubair, Dr Khaled Al-Ruwais, Dr Lubna Al-Ajmi, Dr Laila Fada, Dr Mohammed Al-Aqeel, Dr. Muflih Al-Qahtani, Dr. Nihad Al-Omair, and His Excellency Dr: Hani Abu Ras.* From the Guinean side, the following attended: Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to the Kingdom Al-Hassan Jakiti, First Counselor at the Embassy of the Republic of Guinea to the Kingdom Al-Hussein Sila, Director of the Main Office Conakry Baladi, and Special Advisor to the President of the National Transitional Council in the Republic of Guinea Mohamed Sanousi.
