Shura Council Holds its Fifteenth Regular Session of the First Year of the Ninth Term

The Shura Council held its 15th Regular Session of the 1st Year of the 9th Term, chaired by His Excellency the Council Chairman Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh.*At the beginning of the session, the Council reviewed the topics on its agenda.*Among the topics of the draft agreements and memoranda included in the agenda of this session, the Shura Council approved a draft memorandum of understanding between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Republic of Tunisia for cooperation in the field of encouraging direct investment, after listening to a report submitted by the Trade and Investment Committee.*In a related matter, the Shura Council approved a draft agreement to encourage and protect mutual investments between the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, after listening to a report submitted by the Trade and Investment Committee regarding the draft agreement.*The Council also approved a draft memorandum of understanding between the Saudi Accreditation Center in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the National Accreditation Center in the Republic of Kazakhstan for cooperation in the field of accreditation.*In addition, the Shura Council approved a draft memorandum of understanding between King Salman International Academy for the Arabic Language in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Al-Farabi National University in the Republic of Kazakhstan for cooperation in the field of serving the Arabic language.*Also, the Council approved a draft agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of Brunei Darussalam in the field of air transport services, after listening to a report submitted by the Committee on Transport, Communications and Information Technology, followed by the Council member and Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Issa Al-Otaibi, regarding the draft agreement.*The Council approved also a draft memorandum of understanding between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the United States of America in the field of higher education and scientific research, after listening to a report submitted by the Education and Scientific Research Committee.
