The Shura Council held its 16th Regular Session of the First Year of the Ninth Term, chaired by His Excellency the Speaker of the Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh.*At the beginning of the session, the Council reviewed the agenda of its 16th Regular Session, and the items included therein, taking the necessary decisions regarding them.*In a related matter, the Council approved a draft agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of Suriname in the field of air transport services.*The Shura Council also approved during the session a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Economy and Planning in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Investment in the Union of the Comoros for cooperation in the economic field.*In addition, the Council approved a draft agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of the Republic of Iceland to avoid double taxation with regard to income taxes and to prevent tax evasion and avoidance.*In the same context, the Council approved a draft memorandum of understanding between the Royal Institute of Traditional Arts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Academy of Traditional Arts affiliated with the Hassan II Mosque Foundation in Casablanca in the Kingdom of Morocco for cooperation in the field of traditional arts.
