The Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, held a session today of official talks with the Speaker of the Senate of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Faisal bin Akef Al-Fayez, within the framework of his official visit to the Kingdom.*At the outset of the session, the Speaker of the Shura Council welcomed the Speaker of the Jordanian Senate and the accompanying delegation, praising the deep relations and fraternal ties that bring together the leadership and people of the two countries.*The two sides stressed the importance of exchanging visits and holding joint bilateral meetings between officials of the two countries in all fields, especially concerning parliamentary work between the Shura Council and the Jordanian parliament and its two chambers (senators and representatives), in a way that serves the common interests of the two countries and achieves the aspirations and future visions of the leadership in both countries.*During the session, they also tackled ways of enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries, discussed many issues of common interest, and ways to strengthen the existing parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Jordanian Senate.
