Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh received at his office in Riyadh today the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ahmad Jawid Mojadidy. At the outset of the reception, the Speaker of the Shura Council welcomed the Ambassador, wishing for joint work and cooperation to strengthen bilateral relations at all levels. Speaker of Shura Council pointed out the importance of strengthening the work of joint parliamentary friendship committees between the Shura Council and the Afghan Parliament, in addition to continuous communication in the interest of the two countries. For his part, the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of Afghan House of Representatives and Speaker of Shura Council to the Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council. He stressed importance of cooperation between the two countries in various fields and activating parliamentary relations and their roles in achieving greater rapprochement and a wider contribution to the development of bilateral relations. During the reception, they discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, particularly strengthening communication and parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the House of Representatives and the Shura Council in Afghanistan.
