Shura Council Delegation Visits Saudi Technical Institute for Mining in the Northern Borders Region

A delegation from the Shura Council, consisting of its specialized committees, headed by Council member, Mohammed bin Saad Al-Faraj, visited today the Saudi Technical Institute for Mining in the Northern Borders Region. The delegation was received by the Director of the Institute, Abdullah Al-Otaibi, and members of the training staff.*
The delegation was briefed on the work, programs, and initiatives of the Institute and listened to an explanation of the most important training programs provided to students and the role of the Institute in qualifying a promising generation of highly qualified professionals and their entry into various industries and industrial cities in all regions of the Kingdom through a strategic partnership aimed at qualifying and training Saudi men and women, ending with employment.*
During their meeting with officials of the Saudi Technical Institute for Mining, the Council members discussed the Institute’s efforts to develop the capabilities of Saudi students and train them in the specializations, courses and programs approved by the Institute and available to both genders.*
The Council delegation conducted a field tour of the Institute’s facilities, including laboratories, maintenance centers, virtual reality, the geological exhibition, field operations, the safety exhibition, digital manufacturing, simulation, underground and aboveground mining, and the iron rock and organic phosphate exhibition.*
The head of the Shura Council visiting delegation, Mohammed Al-Faraj, expressed his happiness and that of the members of the Council's delegation, members of the specialized committees, with what they saw of the great national achievement during their visit to the Saudi Technical Institute for Mining, where young men and women of the nation study and train in the fields of mining, which shows the advanced stages that the Kingdom has reached, pointing to the amazing and huge Saudi discoveries in mining, stressing that this supports and helps the mining sector and investment in it, especially by young Saudi men and women, whether for jobs or for manufacturing industries
