The Steering Committee of the Shura Council, chaired by His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al Sheikh, held its fifth meeting of the first year of the ninth session, in the presence of His Excellency the Vice- Speaker of the Council, Dr. Mishaal bin Fahm Al Sulami, His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Council, Mr. Muhammad bin Dakhil Al Mutairi, and the heads of the specialized Shura Council committees, to consider the topics included on its agenda*. In its Fifth Meeting, the Steering Committee approved the referral of a number of annual performance reports for government agencies and bodies, a number of draft regulations amendments, and memoranda of understanding and cooperation between the Kingdom and a number of countries in various fields, in preparation for presenting them to the Council in one of its general sessions to be held during the coming period.
